Who Should Not Get a Tarot Reading?

who should not get a tarot reading, who should get a tarot reading

Tarot readings can be extremely helpful and guiding for many, however, everyone should come to a reading with an open mind and an open heart. You might or might not hear what you hoped for.

There are no strict rules for a tarot reading. This being said, a reader might have specific principles for themselves.

For instance, I do not do future love/spouse/soulmate type of readings. I do not give someone generic predictions about an unspecified future. I also do not do timeframe readings. These are my principles. Many other readers might agree or disagree.

I also do not answer questions related to health, pregnancy, legal matters, investments, lottery. Some readers do, most readers do not.

The most important point is, are you sure a tarot reading is right for you? In certain occasions, I have to turn a client down, because I understand tarot can not help them, or they are not in a suitable condition to receive messages.

If you came to me yesterday to ask guidance about a specific problem, I will not do another reading for you today. You can ask the cards the same question every day, at some point, the cards will stop communicating with you. Some time needs to pass, some new developments need to happen, or time passes and no development is in sight. Come back next month, and let's look at it again. But not every day.

If you come to me and say you had an x amount of readings done by an x amount of readers prior to mine, I will turn you down. It only tells me you are not open to receive the messages the cards give you, you are trying to validate the answer you have in your head, and going from one reader to another until you find one that validates it for you.

As I mentioned above, if you ask random predictions about an unspecified future, tarot cards are not the right tool for it. Tarot is not or should not be used for these questions. I can't give you a description of someone, what they do for work, when you will meet that person, how you will meet that person. Unfortunately, I have to turn down many clients due to these questions. This is something maybe a psychic medium or a clairvoyant might be able to answer, but it is not my area of expertise.

If your question involves someone else. I will explain this. For instance, your ex is in a relationship with someone else, and you want to know how their relationship is going. These types of questions are not suitable for tarot. I know, you will see many readers offer readings as such, like spy on your ex. I will have to respectfully disagree with anyone who offers this reading. Your questions should be about you.

If I see that a client is emotionally unstable and desperate. They come to ask a question like: "What can I do to bring my ex back? I am so desperate, I don't know what to do." I would not do a reading for that client. Two reasons. One, they are extremely vulnerable and they might not know how to handle the message. Two, tarot should not be used to manipulate someone else's energy.

Tarot reading might also not be right for you if you are doing black magic or anything that can be potentially harmful for someone, and you are wondering if what you are doing is working. I immediately turn these tpyes of requests down.

When you want tarot to make the decisions for you, you should not get a reading. In the end, the cards are only used to seek guidance and advice. The truth is, clients are entirely responsible for their choices, decisions, and actions. What you do with the message is up to you.

If you doubt the messages, or if you do not believe in tarot or oracle readings. Energies matter. If you approach with scepticism, the cards will answer you with scepticism. If you are coming to smart mouth a reader, make fun of, or insult them, tarot is definitely not the right tool for you.

Tarot readings, when done right, can be quite useful for us. They help us analyze specific situations, invite us to ask ourselves questions to figure out the answers on our own. Tarot cards can be a great tool to help us gain more self-esteem, self-love. They can also be quite empowering, healing, and motivating with their messages. The cards are not there to scare anyone off, but to give people the opportunity to look at things from different perspectives.

Happy readings!
